Ideas for Forum Plot, and storyline.

How about we start RPing with an idea with a few characters that we could quickly make and if we like the idea we could either make new ones or expand on the ones we made and start with that. If we don't like the idea we could try another one and either change a bit about the characters we made for the last or just make new ones. Rinse and repeat until we find one we like. Just an idea.

How about making this site a Persona site?


Those of you that have played any of the games will be aware of how awesome is Persona, but for those who haven't, the (average) Persona settings take place on urban settings in a world and society that is not different from ours. Yet, a supernatural menace, born from the minds of people themselves, has taken form and now threats to destroy our future and no one can do anything at all to stop it... Except for some people, people with strong souls and a slumbering potential within them to change things by their own power that have been granted a special power thanks to the veil that separates reality and dreams growing thinner... This people have gained the power to summon Personas.

Personas are the expression of the masks we use to shield ourselves from reality and go through the day, they are aspects of ourselves that we manifest in the form of mythological figures (but hey, if you want to have a videogame character or an entity from your own self-made mytos, it's cool), represented at the same time by the major arcana of the Tarot. They are capable of incredible feats and it is only with their power that the enemy can be defeated.


What's awesome about Persona settings is that it is how much tools and opportunities it provides to flesh out the characters. Heck, practically the only way to obtain new powers and get stronger is through character development. The setting are also prone to getting darker the more the story advances, it is also ideal for deconstruction purposes, since it features tons of real life situations and effects that comprehend one of the most important parts of the setting.



With a bit of thinking, we could manage to create a very cool site if we bass it on this franchise, and if we brink several elements from others, we'd nail it.

... Due to the incredible support this idea has received, I take it back. Unless someone DOES show interest on it, that's it.


EDIT: This would mean for now that we would go back to the Haven-like scheme at least for now, since it's the default idea.

Not Haven like scheme. Don't even say that. We're going hybrid gramarie and magic-esque.
